Layers of conscious Understanding
Being a great fan of the work of Rainer Maria Rilke I just have to start my re-emergence on the MOMO website with a quote from him declaring that “I live my life in widening circles”.
With my husband developing stage IV colon cancer and I myself having chronic cardiac and immune system syndromes, I’ve experienced the best and the worst of being ill in modern society. Such a sudden adaptation to old age has forced me to reassess all I have learned from my patients and from insights I’ve gained over the years of combining medicine, psychoanalysis and traditional health philosophy. Most of all I have had to face my own arrogance about the meaning of life, and to start all over again to try and understand self-awareness and conscious living. Being over 70 has also placed me on the side of the new medical definition of old age – it was 65 until recently – and I somehow convinced myself that I have said and done all that was necessary.
However, incredible observations during the past few months since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic have highlighted the human journey towards fulfilling a new dimension of conscious understanding. The mythological patterns that are evolving in the background enticed me to share the notes that I accumulated over the years to explain how the five levels that were incorporated into the practical use of bio-analysis developed out of the collective mythology that people created to explain the world they live in.
It will be a slow process, but will hopefully be completed by the time this virus has convinced us all that it is time for an era of individualistic and responsible thought. Hopefully, the mythological insight of philosophers and traditional healers over the ages can provide us with advice about this transformation towards a collective fourth dimension of conscious understanding.
I decided to link my writing to the website, chapter for chapter, while chatting about the progress on the website blog.
